Alps Blockchain, a leading Italian company specializing in the production of computational power for blockchain applications with extensive international experience, has announced a strategic partnership with Simple Mining, a prominent U.S.-based industry player, to develop a state-of-the-art mining farm in Iowa.

The planned facility will feature a total capacity of 70 megawatts (MW), divided into two primary phases. The first phase, delivering 20 MW, will be managed by Alps Blockchain through its subsidiary, Alps U.S. LLC. The second phase, providing 50 MW, will be developed in an alliance between Alps Blockchain and Simple Mining through a joint venture formalized as Dolomiti U.S. LLC. The entire infrastructure is expected to be operational by mid-2025 and will leverage advanced hardware and a liquid cooling system, thanks to the collaboration with Bitmain, a global leader in mining hardware production and a long-standing partner of Alps Blockchain.

This project marks a significant milestone for Alps Blockchain as it enters the competitive U.S. market. The alliance with Simple Mining aims to create synergies and capitalize on growth opportunities within the sector, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to technological innovation and development.

"This new venture in the United States represents a pivotal step in our global expansion strategy," stated Francesco Buffa, Chief Executive Officer of Alps Blockchain. "We are excited to combine our expertise with Simple Mining, a company with substantial local experience, and to strengthen our collaboration with Bitmain. Leveraging the network we've built over the years, we are now poised to establish a presence in one of the most dynamic cryptocurrency mining markets worldwide, further diversifying our operational footprint and enhancing our active contribution to the industry's development."

“We are thrilled to partner with Alps Blockchain on their North American expansion.” said Adam Haynes, Chief Executive Officer of Simple Mining. “Our shared commitment to providing sustainable energy solutions will drive innovation, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. Additionally, at Simple mining, our fully dedicated repair facility and team of over 50 employees underscore our commitment to scaling and succeeding in the fast-paced world of cryptocurrency mining.”
